La Maire de la ville a décidé de créer la plus grande galerie de street-art à ciel ouvert, en effet soutenue par un site web répertoriant les œuvres réalisées depuis 1974, la "Urban Art Gallery" est destinée à changer l'image de l'art urbain.

Des artistes ont été embauchés afin d'exercer légalement leur créativité sur les espaces publiques, les bennes de recyclages, les immeubles…

Deux Citroën DS3 customisées ont été mise à disposition des artistes afin qu'ils puissent faire visiter la galerie et expliquer leur projet. Cette opération a été un vrai succès, plus de 3000personnes sont fait la visite en DS3, plus de 3000 contributions artistiques ont été proposées, le gouvernement a élu l'expo meilleur projet de l'année, et le journal The Guardian a élu la collection de Lisbonne comme la plus belle au monde.

Et pour terminer en beauté l'agence à l'origine du projet a remporté un Lion de bronze à Cannes.

 In Lisbon, as in many cities, street-art has not always had a good image and is,often erroneously considered an eyesore.

The Mayor of the city decided to create the largest street-art gallery supported by a website that lists the works carried out since 1974. "Urban Art Gallery" is intended to change the image of urban art. Artists were hired to legally exercise their creativity in public spaces such as on recycling bins or buildings.

Two custom Citroen DS3 were made available to artists so they can exhibit at the gallery and discuss their projects.

This operation was considereda success as more 3,000 people came out to visit DS3. Over 3,000 artistic contributions have been proposed and the government elected the best exhibition project of the year. The Guardian newspaper has elected Collection Lisbon as the finest in the world. To top it off, the agency behind the project won a Bronze Lion at Cannes.

This is a great initiative to share.
